GameRecoil -> -> Will Spore be Turned Into a Movie?

  There are rumors that EA's simulator game, Spore, will be turned into a movie - and the game itself isn't even released yet. There is so much hype surrounding the game's release that it isn't completely ridiculous to assume that a movie/tv version would be profitable. Spore will be available for purchase on September 7, 2008; EA and Maxis will not have to wait long to see if the hype will be lived up to with millions of purchases and downloads of the game.  

   

  The developers want to reach more than just an outrageous number of gamers; getting people interested who watch movies or TV is a goal as well. Spore is such a unique concept that they will most likely have no problem getting an animated show accepted by audiences. 

   

  

   

  Spore lets users create their own single celled organism from the primordial stew and shower it with love and direction. As their creation gets bigger, smarter and stronger the player will be able to customize it even more (colors, weapons, appendages, etc). The Spore creatures will even become advanced enough eventually to travel from planet to planet (although it must take a while to get to that stage). 

   

  It will be interesting to see if EA and Maxis can pull off a non-gaming version of Spore. If I had enough money to afford cable or movie tickets, I am sure that I would see it. Would you?
