Wii Again Guilts You Into Exercising |
![]() |

Are you bored with Wii Fit and need a new fad that you can pretend you're interested in because you feel guilty for eating three bags of Cheetos a day? Luckily, I have an announced game just for you. EA Sports Active, which is being developed by Bob Greene (Harpo's personal trainer) is a new "go exercise, fatty!" game due out in Spring 2009.
This game is "perfect for the whole family," as long as your family is a woman. EA claims that the game is "designed specifically for women seeking a simple, fun and cost-effective way to achieve a healthy lifestyle." The game will include a variety of cardiovascular workouts, on-screen feedback that is enabled by two Nunchuk-holding leg straps, a resistance band for upper body training and workouts incorporating the Wii Balance Board. Are you ready to look and feel humiliated? I know I am.
The reason for this game is that men are becoming chubbier by the day and women no longer feel hot stripping down for a perfect stranger as they get ready to celebrate their 18th birthday at my house. Um. Anyway, my point is that yes, this is once again a good idea, but when did just going for a jog go out the window?
