  If you're looking to freshen up your Xbox Live play-list with a new face from the Marketplace, look no further than a new game by Twisted Pixel Games called The Maw.

  The game will be released on January 21, 2009 on Xbox Live Arcade. You'll have to pay 800 MSP (about $10) for this beauty but it's worth the price; this downloadable arcade game was one of the PAX 10 Audience Choice Award winners and an IGF 2009 Finalist.

  Josh Bear, the CCO and director, said, "We set out from the very beginning to create the most content-rich and impressive game that we could for ten bucks and 150 megabytes. There are over 900 animations, 1000 sound effects, 25 music tracks, 200 visual effects, and 150 models, making this an incredible value for your $10."

  Your character Frank and The Maw (his big, toothy buddy) landed on a bright and colorful planet that is full of traps, puzzles and local life that prevent them from having a good, safe time. But by using The Maw and your brain you can make it safely through this hostile environment!
