GameRecoil -> -> Sony's Guitar and Drum Peripherals All Compatible

  There has been an electrifying message posted on the PlayStation Blog; Sony has been collaborating with several different companies in order to make some peripherals that will please the masses. These compares are Neversoft, Activision, Harmonix and Konami; Sony wants to ensure that the PlayStation 3 guitar and drum controllers will be compatible across the board.  This means that the PS3 drums and guitars will work for Guitar Hero: World Tour, Rock Band 2 and Konami's Rock Revolution software.

   

  The cross compatibility will be (almost) endless. Guitar Hero guitars will work with Rock Band, Rock Band guitars will work with Rock Revolution, and so on.  There will be a basic level of compatibility; it won't be a match made in heaven but it will be doable.

   

  The new titles' peripherals are compatible, but Sony is still working on some issues between the current Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles.

   

  So Sony is on the ball, but will Microsoft and Nintendo follow suit? I'm certainly hoping so, since I don't want a stack of six different controllers in my living room.
