  • The Wii Virtual Console will be getting a new game - Samurai Shodown II. The SNK Playmore Corporation will be releasing SS II on August 4th, 2008.

     

    It was believed that Samurai Shodown II was ahead of its time when it was originally released by SNK. The combat system was advanced; it introduced players to a completely new style of offensive and defensive fighting. Rolling backwards and forwards, ducking, hopping and parries were completely new ideas for fighting games.

     

    Samurai Showdown II has 16 playable characters, 2v2 player mode and a set of unlockable/hidden bosses. It will be available for purchase for 900 Wii Points.
