In Resident Evil 5, you might not be stuck with a control scheme that has been rendered obsolete (as you have been in almost every other RE game). Instead of an awkward "tank-like" scheme, you have the option of using a more intuitive third-person shooter control layout.
In Resident Evil 5, you can make the left analogue stick strafe to the left and right, with aiming and turning controlled by the right analogue stick.
Also, you might want to note something that is related to fighting (or fleeing) during the game. Chris Redfield and his lady friend are not able to move and shoot at the same time. This makes the game slightly more realistic (who would really be able to give multiple headshots while sprinting the f*ck away?) and scary.
