GameRecoil -> -> Release Schedule for XBL Arcade in August

  Microsoft has decided, for once, to tell us ahead of time what will be released in August on Xbox Live Arcade.

   

  Geometry Wars 2: Retro Evolved will of course be released first on July 30th followed by plenty of others. See below:

   

  August 6th - Braid.

   

  August 13th - Bionic Commando Rearmed (NES remake)

   

  August 20th - Galaga Legions remake

   

  August 27th - Castle Crashers

   

  "The Summer of Arcade," as Microsoft has so cleverly coined this onslaught of arcade games, will also hold a contest. Anyone who plays the hell out of the games above in their first week will automatically be in a drawing to win 100,000 MS points, an Xbox 360 Elite system, and a one year subscription to Xbox Live. A couple of nerdy runners-up will get 10,000 points and the Xbox live subscription.

   

  The winning package is valued somewhere around $1500 or $2000. Or maybe not, who knows?
