Nintendo Wii Space Issues

  • Nintendo isn't giving its fans enough room to spread their Wii-wings. Both the Wii Channels and WiiWare games take up so much space that Wii owners are having trouble keeping all that they want on their console. Although there are many hopefuls looking for a hard drive alternative, Nintendo hasn't been giving out any hopeful news. However, the company isn't completely ignoring the situation.

Fils-Aime stated that Nintendo has been working on several different solutions. It is nice to know that they are aware of the problem that exists but it isn't comforting to know that they don't have any details to give out. More and more people have been recognizing the space issue on the Wii; casual gamers have been downloading Wii games too, not just the uber nerds.

Hopefully this problem with downloaded digital content does not get solved by charging Wii users for WiiConnect, the downloads, and other free features on the Wii. Until Nintendo solves the space issues on the Wii, only the geeks who make their own hard drive and hack into their own Wii are going to see a solution.
