GameRecoil -> -> Nintendo Wii Passes Xbox 360 in Sales

  NPD Group is reporting that the Nintendo Wii has officially overtaken Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the console war. Well, in the United States anyway.
  
  More than 666,000 (apparently Satanic?) Wii systems have been sold through United States retailers in June alone. The total is almost 11 million. That's 6 zeros for those of you that like zeros.
  
  Even better news for Nintendo is that the only system that out-sold the Wii in June was the DS, also from Nintendo. The handheld system sold 783,000 in in June, putting the total over 20 million. That's still 6 zeros but with a 20 this time instead of an 11. Of course the DS has been out since November 2004.
  
  Nintendo continued to show off via NPD Group's report by boasting 6 of the top 10 selling video games in June. These include Guitar Hero On Tour, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Mario Kart Wii, and Lego Indiana Jones.
