GameRecoil -> -> Midway Kicks Gears of War 2 in the Face

  Midway might have some sort of syndrome or lupus or something; they have begun hyping up a game that (wait for it!) has not been announced and does not exist yet. It's actually a pretty smart maneuver since we can't say that their invisible, intangible, non-idea is crap and have to wait until 2010 when the video game actually will exist. Then we can say it sucks.

  The kicker of the entire "hyping a nonexistent game" strategy was when Midway creative director Simon Woodroffe compared this secret project to Gears of War 2, saying that it will be as good as or better than the Marcus Fenix masterpiece. Mr. Woodroffe, I don't think the comparison is valid. It's like giving birth to a child in a dank basement and then saying it's the best one there is, without realizing that there are other tots out there with only 2 legs and a fully formed brain. You have nothing to compare Gears of War 2 to.

  So congrats, Midway, on essentially saying nothing. I hope when the time comes your game is a beautiful work of art dipped in chocolate... although I doubt it will be.
