    In case you don't know, Gears of War 2 is a ridiculous success.

     

    It's no surprise, but Gears of War 2 has sold over 2 million copies worldwide during this past weekend. 20,000+ retailers in 20 different countries started selling copies of GoW2 at 12:01 AM last Friday. Judging by how many midnight launch parties there was across the United States, it's easy to guess that Gears of War 2 was going to be a big hit with fanboys and fangirls.

     

    Launching Gears of War 2 on the same day all around the world is pretty unusual in the gaming industry; usually countries have different release dates for various reasons. Cliffy B wanted everyone in the world to share a unique, united experience with Gears of War 2 at the exact same moment. Nice Call.
Now, more than 1.5 million gamers have connected to Xbox Live to earn more than 19 million Achievements.

     

    Scratch 19 million grubs, yo.
