Although EA has assured gamers worldwide that they intend on making a Dead Space sequel, that doesn't mean that there aren't any gory surprises left for the original Dead Space.
EA is planning to release some worthwhile downloadable content for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game; some examples of said DLC are new suits and weapons packs to use during the game. For $1, which is equal to about 80 Microsoft points, you can download The Big Gun Pack (it includes the Steam Punk Force Gun). Or you could choose to download the Hot Rock Pack, which will make the visuals for the flamethrower much more kickass and gives access to the pulse rifle.
For $1.50 you can download the Pedestrian Pack. This pack will include new skins for the contact beam, plasma cutter, and ripper.
For $2.25 you can gain access to the Scorpion and Speed Killer Packs; these packs offer gamers upgrades for the plasma cutter, line gun, and force gun.
And if you're willing to pony up $3, the Astronaut Pack is available to you, which includes an astronaut suit and some weapon skins. Also for listed for $3 is the Heavy Damage Pack, which includes new skins and enhanced power for various weapons.
If you're willing to pay $4 you can buy packs like the Military Pack, Scorpion Pack, and Tank Pack.
There will also be some discriminating packs only for specific platforms; if you own a PS3 and $3 you can buy the Obsidian Pack, which will change your weapons and armor to a deep-black color. Xbox360 won't be left out; there will be packs for them only as well.
The DLC will be available for the Xbox 360 on November 13 and it will be available for the PS3 on November 20.
