GameRecoil -> -> Dead Rising Coming to Wii in Japan

  Dead Rising, the entertaining (although somewhat repetitive) Xbox360 game is coming to the Nintendo Wii. Unfortunately, it is going to be made available to the console only in Japan. At a Capcom E3 press conference many fans of the game were eagerly waiting to hear if there would be a Dead Rising 2. Instead of Dead Rising fans getting a sequel, they only got a new console release exclusively in one country. What a downer.

   

  The Dead Rising for Nintendo Wii is bound to be particularly exhilarating since the Wiimote will allow gamers to kill zombies by swinging their arms madly instead of pushing buttons madly. The gesture-based combat is a trademark of the Wii; although it looks completely ridiculous, the additional involvement that gamers will get in a zombie game is well worth looking stupid.

   

  The lovely people at Gamespot questioned Capcom executive Chris Kramer about a potential US release of the Wii version of the game. Sadly, the only information he let slip was that the other regions were going to be determined. Feel free to interpret that as a big, fat "no."
