DC Comics Acquired Rights to Two More Games

  • DC Comics may not have the right to make comics out of the riotously popular game, Halo, like Marvel Comics does but they did recently score some other gaming properties. DC Comics has scooped up some impressive rights this year; Gears of War, Prototype and Mirror's Edge all sold those rights to DC Comics. Now, there will be two more games to be included on their ever-expanding list.

Devil May Cry and Resident Evil are both going to be made into graphic novels in the future by DC Comics. The DC Comic "WildStorm" banner will cover the releases of both of these franchises.

It might seem strange to some people that a company just now has exclusive rights to these games. Both of the titles have been made into comic books previously. Resident Evil comics have been published by WildStorm in the past and Devil May Cry 3 was turned into a manga that was released in the US.

Next month some information should be released regarded the debuts of both projects, but until then, just dream about glossy pages of flesh hungry zombies or feminine male protagonists.
