Bungie Has More Than One Project

  • Bungie teased us shamelessly about a big, new project but did not announce anything at E3 because of Microsoft's wishes and this did not leave many gamers too happy. The Halo trilogy creators had online messages and warnings up implying a (huge) announcement. This huge disappointment has many wondering: so when will it be the right time for Bungie to announce this big project?

Unfortunately, it will not be at next month's Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, Washington. Although it would be a more welcoming and public event to make such a statement, Microsoft/Bungie hasn't deemed it worthy or dedicated enough. However, there will be some Halo 3 multiplayer goodies announced at PAX, but that will not satiate gamers for long.

The only good news coming out of otherwise lack of news is that there are three big projects in the works at Bungie. A Bungie representative, Brian Jarrard, implied that some of the projects would be familiar while another will be a brand new idea. One rumored game is the Halo spin-off (sans Master Chief) that will focus on squad-based tactical game play.
