Brutal Quarter Marks Record Losses for THQ |
![]() |
As if 2007's 1st quarter loss of $9.3 million wasn't a kick in the nuts, THQ lost $27.2 million in the 1st quarter of 2008.
Thanks to Wall-E and Big Beach Sports selling well, the net sales for the last three months were just over $136 million, which was actually a gain from last year's $104.5 million.
Brian Farrell, who happens to be the THQ CEO, said:
"We are beginning to roll out a strong slate of games fro the year, including a balance of both owned and intellectual properties and major licenses. We are making important improvements in our creative development organization, which we believe will increase our product quality and competitiveness."
And we think he's right. After all, they have resorted to porn star Tera Patrick recently. And with porn, you really can't go wrong.
