  • In the first quarter of 2009, the Xbox360 and PlayStation 3 will be getting a brand new fighting game - Battle Fantasia.

    Arc System Works developed the new fighter that is full of fantastical characters, a deep Japanese mange-inspired storyline. 505 Games compares Battle Fantasia to game playing on the streets of Tokyo.

    Instead of the standard health bar that is used in most fighting games, the characters have hit-points that get taken away as they receive more damage. This creates an interesting concept during gameplay; smaller characters have less health but are much harder to hit and are extremely fast, while the larger characters are slower but they deal more damage with each blow.

    As with most fighters, Battle Fantasia has several different modes players can complete. They include story mode, practice mode, survival mode, time attack, versus mode and online multiplayer.

    Get ready for this hit in 2009; BF will have a unique 2.5D graphics engine, 12 characters and also unlockables.
