  In an effort to compete against big bad Sony and Nintendo this holiday season, Microsoft will go all Wal-Mart on its own prices. MS is planning to aggressively lower the prices on its Xbox360s... but this new price cut is only going to be affecting those with dingoes and didgeridoos (AKA Australians).

   

  Why wouldn't the Aussies want in on the fun of Gears of War 2, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3 this holiday season? Not only that, but the mates down under would be also able to experience Xbox Live (the largest social network on TV) and the NEW Xbox Experience on their own console.

   

  The prices in Sydney, Auckland and all of the other cities in the Australia/New Zealand region will be:

   

  Xbox 360 Arcade now AU$299 (was AU$349)

  Xbox 360 Pro now AU$399 (was AU$499)

  Xbox 360 Elite now AU$549 (was AU$649)
