  • If you are familiar with the Petz franchise, you will know it consists of taking care of polygonal dogs, cats, hamsters, horses, toads and roadkill on your computer or console. What makes the game fun is that you just add a "z" onto the end of every word.

    Ubisoft has revealed a new flavor of Petz: Petz Rescue. This new game will come to the Nintendo Wii and DS. Making young gamers go green, this Petz focusing on protecting the environment and preserving the diversity of the animal kingdom. Gamers will be able to rescue endangered animals and nurture back to health.

     

    There are several different subcategories for Petz Rescue. There will be Wildlife Vet, Endangered Paradise and Ocean Patrol.

     

    Petz Rescue Wildlife Vet will be available for Nintendo DS and Wii. Play as a young vet who takes care of all sorts of animals, ranging from exotic to domestic. Learn to play detective as you discover why certain animals are sick and how you can heal them.

     

    In Petz Rescue Endangered Paradise for Nintendo DS, you will be part of an environmental rescue team. The team's job is to protect and island that is threatened by pollution. Use your knowledge and kind nature to protect those animals.

    The final new Petz game, Petz Rescue Ocean Patrol, will be available for Nintendo DS. Play as Greg or Mila, and save the marine life by a secluded tropical island.

     

    All of the mentioned Petz Rescue titles are rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. They will be available for kids and anyone who likes cute animals in North America in October 2008.
